Thank You

We want to thank everyone who participated in the spaghetti dinner a couple of weeks ago.  We were extremely blessed by the love, support, and generosity of everyone who attended.  We are also grateful for the many who were unable to attend but still reached out in support and encouragement.   Also, thanks to all who donated desserts for the dessert silent auction and helped set up and tear down – we could not have done it without you!  We want to give a special thank you to Levi & Emily Secord and Jim & Bev Ornell for hosting the event and preparing all the delicious food.  Words cannot express how grateful we are – thanks again!

Thanks also to everyone who bought a t-shirt both earlier in the summer and in this latest second round.  We just received word that the second round has been printed, and we will get them on Friday.  We will contact those who ordered in the second round (or have not received their first round) early next week.

Adoption Update

While we were hoping to have bigger news to share, we are still waiting for a referral.  Representatives from our agency traveled to Nigeria for a week in mid September, and they were able to visit several orphanages and speak with the adoption personnel in country.  It was an encouraging trip, and it was helpful for us to hear that they are optimistic we will receive a referral “soon.”  We are not sure exactly what this means for a timeline, but we are encouraged by this update.  We are praying that we will receive a referral by the end of this year.  While there are no guarantees, we are trusting in the Lord’s sovereign plan for our family.

In other news, we have bracelets for sale!  The suggested donation is $1, but if you have already donated and would like one just let us know.  Thanks to Aaron & Liz Rothermel for starting this fundraiser for us!

Prayer Requests

Please pray that we receive a referral soon!  We are excited to bring home our kids, and we hope that this will be sooner rather than later.  Pray for patience and contentment for us as we wait.  Please also pray for our future children. Specifically for their health and safety, and that God would be preparing their hearts for their future family.
